Alva uses soft limits — you won’t be charged overages. When you reach a limit:

  • Storage full — you can’t upload new files until you free up space or upgrade.
  • Delivery limit reached — new webhook requests will be rejected until the next billing cycle.
  • Bandwidth limit reached — downloads will be temporarily unavailable until the next cycle.

You’ll see warnings in your dashboard as you approach limits.

  1. Go to Settings > Billing.
  2. Click Upgrade Plan or Manage Billing.
  3. Select your new plan and billing period (monthly or annual).
  4. Complete checkout through Stripe.

Your new limits take effect immediately. You’ll be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your current billing period.

  1. Go to Settings > Billing and click Manage Billing.
  2. In the Stripe Customer Portal, change your plan.

When downgrading:

  • If your current usage exceeds the lower plan’s limits, you’ll need to reduce usage first.
  • Existing download links continue to work regardless of plan changes.

Click Manage Billing in Settings to open the Stripe Customer Portal, where you can:

  • Update your payment method.
  • Switch between monthly and annual billing.
  • View invoices and payment history.
  • Cancel your subscription.

When you cancel:

  • Your account reverts to the Free plan at the end of the billing period.
  • Free plan limits apply (50 MB storage, 25 deliveries/month, 10 bundles).
  • Existing files and bundles are preserved, but you can’t upload new files if you’re over the Free storage limit.
  • Active download links continue to work until they expire.
